Pressing RESET: A Tailored Approach to Movement and Vitality
Mar 24, 2026

If you’ve been following OS or our blogs or Movement Snax on Youtube you’ve heard about the incredible power of Pressing RESET?
At Original Strength, we believe the human body is "awesomely and wonderfully made" and designed to be resilient, strong, and capable throughout life. Our foundational movement restoration program, known as Pressing RESET, taps into the body's original design—the Neuro-Developmental Movement Sequence—to help you move better, feel better, and live better.
We have channeled this powerful system into a series of focused booklets, each specifically tailored to address a particular issue, lifestyle, or goal.
The Common Thread: The RESETS
At the core of every booklet are the Original Strength RESETS. These are five developmental movement patterns—Belly Breathing, Head Control, Rolling, Rocking, and Cross-Crawl movements—that refresh your central nervous system and restore your fundamental strength and mobility.
As the body's operating system, the nervous system can get "glitchy" over time due to stress, injuries, or sedentary habits—much like a computer that needs a restart. Pressing RESET identifies and pushes the reset button.
One System, Many Applications
While the underlying RESETS are the same in every booklet, the application, emphasis, and context are what truly make each guide unique. Each booklet is written to help the reader apply the RESETS to a particular heading or need.
This means that while the core movements remain consistent, how they are executed might change, or a different RESET may be emphasized to help the reader improve within that specific context.
For example, the focus on reclaiming your health when sitting for long periods as a remote worker will differ from the focus on improving resilience and longevity for an athlete or a grandparent.
Below is a look at just a few areas where the simple act of Pressing RESET can make a profound difference:
